Organization Profile:
Founded in 1990, The Hamilton Hospitals Assessment Centre (HHAC) provides independent, objective, multidisciplinary assessments for individuals who have sustained injuries in motor vehicle or work-related accidents, or require a rehabilitation assessment due to a changed clinical status. Our extensive roster of expert assessors consists of health professionals from various disciplines. Current services are performed for the Workplace, Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), employers, automobile and disability insurance companies, and lawyers.
Position Description:
Over the past 19 years, we have developed considerable expertise in the physical, psychological and functional assessment of individuals with impairment. We plan to build on this expertise to provide a wider range of services to our current and new customers. To accomplish this goal, we are looking for a Talented Sales Generator to:
• Implement the Marketing Plan specific to employer services to achieve profitable revenue targets, including new business and growth volume targets
• Sell consultatively and make recommendations to potential and current clients about various solutions the organization offers to their business issues. Key market segments will include, but are not limited to: disability insurers, disability management companies, lawyers, private industry employers, school boards, hospitals, government agencies, etc.
• Create and conduct effective proposal presentations and RFP responses for the above market segments
• Develop and maintain a database of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, and follow-up activities
• Undertake primary and secondary research to obtain and maintain an in-depth understanding of the target markets
• Actively consult with the clinical leadership team (physicians, OTs, Chiropractors, etc.) and scan the market to define industry and customer requirements and future opportunities
• Represent the organization at select trade shows, special events, and through membership in professional associations (i.e., Chamber of Commerce, Human Resource Professionals, etc.)
• Other sales assignments as required
Education, Specific Training and Related Experience:
• University degree or college diploma in a healthcare or business field
• A minimum of 5 years experience selling professional services
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets
• A creative and strategic thinker who learns and conceptualizes quickly
• Ability to create and execute strategic plans
• Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple customers’ needs
• Strong research skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication, negotiation, and time management skills
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
• Computer software literacy
• Proficient in the creation and delivery of multimedia presentations
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
• Previous experience in the healthcare field is preferred
• Knowledge of employer occupational health services, disability management, return-to-work coordination, and WSIB is an asset
Scheduled Hours of Work and Conditions:
A 12 month contract, full-time, Monday to Friday, days. Irregular hours may be necessary to achieve timely results or to attend special meetings/educational sessions.
The Sales Consultant will spend approximately 25% of his or her working hours in a climate-controlled office environment and the remaining 75% traveling to and visiting referral sources and clients’ workplaces where he or she may be exposed to a variety of environmental hazards (e.g., noise, extreme temperatures, etc.).
Travel by car to meet with current and prospective referral sources and clients is required.
